Dungeon Wilds is a playing card game about exploring dungeons, destroying them, and dying again and again. You might get lost, you'll probably get stuck, and you're definitely gonna die. But don't despair, monsters. Every one of your deaths helps to cultivate the wilds.
In return, the land will offer you gifts that help reveal the stories behind each dungeon. Take turns drawing cards, playing sets, avoiding traps, and clearing floors as you explore the depths. Collect seeds to buy items from the shopkeeper. Help the wilds grow.
Destroy the dungeon. Set the monsters free.
The game goes like this:
Explore the Dungeon by drawing cards and playing them so that you may reveal the hidden dungeon cards.
Clear the floor by collecting the cards you need to play the revealed dungeon cards.
Avoid traps and other dangers in the Dungeon that can deal damage to you.
Gather your seeds (points) from the cards you were able to play.
Shop in between floors to buy items so that you might survive a little longer.
Die and be reborn on the first floor but this time with a gift from the wilds.
Reveal the story behind each dungeon based on the lore that comes with each gift.
Destroy the dungeon by dying and spreading the seeds you collected. This helps the wilds grow large enough to crush the Dungeon and set all the monsters free.
