A Solo RPG Game with a dark twist...
Don't Play This Game is a roleplaying game where you paly through your character's story, using the book as your guide for their encounters—but what really happens is up to you. As you play, you'll flesh out your character's life, their friends and world—and the strange and terrifying thing that's stalking them. The Entity is not above using your friends against you, or turning your world inside out.
How Do I Play?
Like most solo RPGs, there's a focus on journaling, recording your character's experience as the game goes on—but that doesn't mean it has to be writing all the time. Photograph, craft, sketch, collage or knit your torments together. You can record an audio podcast, a strange found-footage video series, or just build up a shoebox full of cryptic and terrifying paraphenalia. The choice is in your hands. Your fate, though, is down to the book...
Can I Share This Game With a Friend?
Curses are better when they're shared. Even though this is a solo game, your character's story doesn't have to end with their escape (or untimely demise). Collect up the relics of their tormented game, and hand that over to a new player to start their character's journey with—building on your twisted legacy!
The Entity's Game
The game is simple. When you begin playing, an Event will happen to you. Then you record it. What happened? How’d it make you feel? What effect did it have on you? Sometimes in words, sometimes with photos, whatever the Entity asks. Once an Event is completed the Entity will select another. This repeats and your story unfolds until either you complete the game and are free, or you lose and, well, then really bad things happen…
This legacy game changes over time. It transforms and evolves with each playthrough, moulded by your story experiences. You play, it changes, and then you pass it on to the next unlucky soul. But if you don't play it, or don't pass it on, the curse takes effect and bad things start to happen.
