KINLESS

KINLESS is a solo Viking adventure inspired by the incredible music of Swedish melodic death metal band Amon Amarth. KINLESS is the story of a Viking forced to defend their family against a predatory ruler, only to be driven from home, friends, and family... left to die alone in the cold night. KINLESS is your story. You make the choices. You choose the path. Will you seek revenge, find redemption, or die horribly... crushed in the talons of fate's cruel grip? Every choice you make matters and the gods are watching. You begin the game in the forest outside your village. Your only possessions are your Viking axe, some food, and the clothes on your back. You must find food and shelter quickly if you wish to survive. You have a finite number of actions each day, you can use these to move across the map, hunt for food, search for special encounters, commune with the gods, and more. At the end of each day you must rest. Hunger, Fatigue, and even weather can kill you if you are careless. As the player makes their way throughout the world of KINLESS, they will have numerous encounters, not all of which lead to conflict. Combat is resolved in the same style as Mörk Borg, with the player rolling for both attacking and defending. You will meet people in the game. Some will offer you aid, or companionship, others will give you quests. Some will try to kill you. Your ultimate goal is surviving long enough to return home and defeat those who have wronged you and reclaim your place amongst your family and friends. Your enemies are powerful and you'll need the gods on your side. KINLESS is a complete game that is compatible with the Mörk Borg RPG, but does not require it to play.
