Ain’t Dead Yet is a roguelite solo tabletop role-playing game set in the weird west.
After a greedy oil company shattered an ancient seal in the middle of the desert, foul magic began pouring out. It corrupted the animals in the desert, changing them into creatures the locals call “nightmares.”
You’ve joined up with a group known only as the Agency to help keep the people closest to the desert safe and stop the nightmares from devouring the world. In exchange, the Agency has granted you use of a magical weapon and a token that temporarily grants you immortality – most of the time, anyway.
Your contract states that once you complete twelve rides out into the desert, you can return to your normal life if you wish. There’s just one catch: most riders don't survive that long.
Ride into the desert and protect the people; that’s the job. Along the way, you’ll find a whole host of nightmares, ghosts of those that rode out before you, and maybe some clues that all is not as straightforward as it seems.
To play, you'll need:
some 6-sided dice (at least one)
a deck of playing cards
