Summary

You have never been great at magic but you're here to prove yourself!

Full Description

candles flicker, candles bright
in this darkness give me light
moon above and earth below
let this fire burn and grow!

You have never been great at magic.

All too often, your spells backfire. Your potions sour in your cauldron. Your hexes miss their mark—or worse—hit the wrong people. Some say you just aren’t meant to be a witch. But after your last birthday, the one that marked your transition from a mere witchling to a full witch, you were accepted to Ms. Goode’s School of Witchcraft, and you are set to start in the fall. Everyone says that the only reason you were accepted is because your aunts work at the school, Headmistress Goode and her wife, another member of the faculty. No one says it to your face, but you can see it in their eyes: “You don’t belong here. It’s just favoritism. You will never be a real witch.”

But you plan to prove them all wrong.

Ms. Goode’s School (for Bad Witches) is a solo journaling role-playing game designed by Ari Bloom. In it, you play as a young witch whose journey to developing their craft is filled with trouble and danger and lots of hijinks. As the player, you will write magical incantations in the form of metered poetry.

This game takes as its primary inspiration all the iterations of Sabrina the Teenage Witch and The Worst Witch, but especially the 90’s television sitcoms.
