Summary

A solo journaling RPG about dreaming.

Full Description

Allucinalia is a solo journaling game about dreaming. Explore the liminal space of an ever-changing dreamscape; shift from the weird and uncanny to the familiar and comfortable, to an unsettling nightmare. It's the type of dream where you have just enough awareness to shift and shape your actions, but are not quite lucid enough to change the dream itself. In this space, anything can happen, but it might not all be the way you expect it.  It starts out perfectly ordinary. So normal, so mundane, that even though there is something uncanny prickling at the back of your neck, it takes you a moment to realize what is happening... In this game, drawing from a deck of cards guides and expands on the dream world, shifting you from one space to another, and allowing you to play out ideas in a dream sandbox without asking questions like, "Does this make sense?" or "What does this mean?" Each card provides two options for how your dream could shift, and themes assigned to suits of cards mean you can adjust to remove more horror-adjacent themes easily. Content Note: Dreams can be strange, and some of the prompts veer into the space of nightmares and unsettling imagery. While there is nothing intended to evoke horror, some themes may still be upsetting for you. Multiple options are provided for how the game might be modified to ensure you can take care of yourself while you play.
